Telephone Table before refurbishment

We found this vintage telephone table in pretty bad shape. The paint on the chair was wearing off , the seat vinyl fabric was ripped and when you sat on the seat it was hard as a rock. But, we knew with our tender loving touch we could bring this lovely piece of furniture back to life. It was hard work, sanding gently the wood on the slats on back of chair and the legs that were well worn. Once sanded and the metal accents were polished we applied the paint is a deep golden colour and right before our eyes the table was vibrant again.We would have loved the history of this piece; who had it ? Would they love what we have done with the piece? All we know is that it must have been in a place of love for it to be still in one piece it has to be at least 30 years old.

We are thrilled how it turned out! We thought to update the seat with high density foam seat covered in Black Ikat design. This telephone table is ideal for an entrance way for comfortable seat to remove/put on shoes with a shelf to put your keys on or your bag.  Or how about in a sun room where you can sit having a cup of morning coffee while reading the paper.
